Libby Saylor Wright Named CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta has announced the appointment of Libby Saylor Wright as its next president and chief executive officer, effective June 16, 2025.

Wright will lead the organization’s strategic direction and daily operations, supporting 25 Clubs across nine metro Atlanta counties. With more than two decades of leadership at the intersection of business and community impact, she brings a deep commitment to youth development and women’s empowerment.

“Libby is a servant leader with a powerful vision and a track record of delivering meaningful impact,” said Board Chair Larry Patrick. “At a time when nonprofits across the country are navigating economic pressures and increasing community needs, her strategic mindset and passion for youth uniquely position her to lead us forward.”

Before joining Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, President and CEO Libby Saylor Wright served as chief operating officer and chief of staff for Microsoft’s U.S. Retail & Consumer Goods division, helping lead a $5.5 billion business unit focused on organizational strategy and people development. She previously held executive roles at the Women’s Foodservice Forum and spent 13 years at The Coca-Cola Co., where she led initiatives in shopper marketing, sales, and innovation.

Wright’s community leadership is equally extensive. She has spent more than 20 years championing youth mentorship, education, and leadership development through volunteer service. Her involvement includes leadership roles with:

  • Elite Women of Excellence, where she served as board chair and longtime mentor

  • Jack and Jill of America Inc., as past president of the Atlanta Chapter

  • The Posse Foundation, as a career coach, fundraiser, and advocate for college access

  • NextUp, where she served as a board member

  • University of Connecticut Foundation’s Women & Philanthropy Leadership Council, as a current member

  • Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and The Links Inc., where she leads youth programming through the Azalea City (Georgia) Chapter’s mentoring program at Hollis Innovation Academy

“Joining Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta is more than a professional opportunity— it is a deeply personal calling,” said Wright. “Over the course of my corporate career, from Coca-Cola to Microsoft, I have built strategies, led high-performing teams, and translated insights into meaningful results. I am energized to bring those experiences into the nonprofit sector, where the outcomes are life-changing and the mission is urgent. My years of service with organizations like Elite Women of Excellence and The Posse Foundation have kept me anchored in community and purpose.  I am truly honored to lead an organization that, for 85 years, has created safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for youth. Together, we will expand our reach, deepen our impact, and continue igniting the unlimited potential of every kid and teen who walks through our Blue Doors.”
