On November 14-16, 2025, the Tony and Grammy-winning musical “Hadestown,” presented by Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta, returned to the heart of our city to perform at The Fox Theatre. The haunting, soulful world of Hadestown electrified The Fox Theatre. Production did an amazing job delivering a powerful and emotional experience.
The Fox Theatre’s architecture gave a perfect frame. When the lights dimmed, the audience was invited on an emotional journey “down under,” as much as theatrically.
Stepping outside after the final bow, the energy was wild. Groups on Peachtree Street are discussing how myth, politics, and love played a big part in the story.
Some first-time viewers admitted they didn’t expect the show to be so passionate. Others who had seen previous productions said this performance felt “fresh,” “alive,” and “deeper than ever.”
Musically, the performance was amazing. Anaïs Mitchell’s genre-blending of folk, blues, jazz, and Americana came alive with fresh energy. The performance genuinely felt authentic, making its themes clear. Survival, sacrifice, power, longing, and the desire to love someone even when the world grows dark.
