Takeoff was the youngest member of the rap trio and arguably the best rapper among them. The group was the first to be signed to the label Quality Control Music, also known as "QC." In an interview with Empower Atlanta, Coach K said, "P and I started the label, and the first artists we signed were the Migos. It was like a match made in heaven because everything that P and I represented and wanted to do, the Migos, they let us do it, and they had the talent. Once we signed them, it was like an explosion. We did it the old school way."
The group quickly rose to fame after releasing their first Billboard hit single "Versace" in 2013. One of the world's best-selling music artists, Drake, hopped on the "Versace" remix making it a big moment in rap history. They released 10 mixtapes in less than 2 years and became viral with several hit singles including "Fight Night,"Handsome and Wealthy," and "Bad and Boujee."
Takeoff went off to release his debut solo album, "The Last Rocket" in 2018 which debuted at number 4 on Billboard's 200 following it's release.
Recently, Takeoff and his uncle, Quavo, created the duo "Unc and Phew." They made their debut as a group by releasing the song "Hotel Lobby" in May 2022. They've released their debut album titled "Only Built For Infinity Links" in October 2022.

Many fans, friends, family and public figures have sent their condolences including Rick Ross, French Montana, Chloe Bailey, Fabolous, Ja Rule, Yung Miami, Teyana Taylor, Tyler Perry and many more.
