Surface Season 2: A New Chapter Unfolds in London
Set against a fresh backdrop, the new chapter of Surface takes Sophie (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) to London, where she delves deeper into the mysteries of her past. After an injury erased her memories, she pieces together the fragments of her life, using her considerable stolen wealth to infiltrate elite British society. A potential link to a captivating heiress emerges, but Sophie’s journey takes a sharp turn when a journalist unexpectedly reaches out. Their past collaboration to uncover a dangerous scandal suddenly puts Sophie in close proximity to those she once sought to expose.
Alongside Mbatha-Raw, Surface features Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Millie Brady, with season two introducing new cast members Phil Dunster, Gavin Drea, Rupert Graves, Tara Fitzgerald, Nina Sosanya, Joely Richardson, and Freida Pinto.
Produced by Apple Studios, Surface is the creation of Veronica West, who serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. The series is produced in partnership with Hello Sunshine, with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter executive producing. Mbatha-Raw also stars and executive produces, while season two is directed by Ed Lilly, Lynsey Miller, Jon East, and Alrick Riley.
