Dr. Patricia Kelly Marsh, CEO & Co-Founder, Ask Me Your MD, Inc.
Dr. Patricia Kelly Marsh is a distinguished Board-Certified Family Medicine physician, entrepreneur, and healthcare innovator based in Atlanta, Georgia. A native of College Park, she has dedicated her career to transforming healthcare, education, and technology, with a strong focus on improving patient access to care and uplifting her community. Dr. Marsh is an award-winning physician-scientist and a passionate advocate for equitable healthcare solutions.
Dr. Marsh earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, where she received comprehensive training in both clinical and academic medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, gaining valuable experience in patient care and clinical leadership. Additionally, she holds a Healthcare Transformational Leadership Fellowship from Morehouse School of Medicine, further refining her skills in healthcare leadership and innovation.
As the CEO and Co-founder of Ask Me Your MD, Inc., Dr. Marsh has led the creation of a telehealth platform that provides patients with real-time consultations from licensed physicians, making healthcare more accessible and convenient. Her leadership in telehealth has earned her several prestigious awards, including the 2023 GA HIMSS Inaugural Pitch Competition for Patient Experience and the Compassionate Leaders Circle Award, recognizing her innovative approach to improving patient care and access to healthcare.
Dr. Marsh is also deeply committed to education and mentorship. She serves as an adjunct professor at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she precepts students in the Family Medicine Department at the HEAL Clinic. This role allows her to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals by providing hands-on learning experiences. In addition, she is the Chief Medical Officer and Principal Investigator at Randomize Now LLC, where she leads clinical trials on important medical topics such as chronic diseases, rare conditions, and cancer. Her work in clinical research is vital to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.
Dedicated to her community, Dr. Marsh serves as the Health Committee Co-chair for the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. – Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter. She successfully secured a $1 million grant to fund health initiatives for underserved populations, further demonstrating her commitment to addressing health disparities and promoting wellness.
In addition to her healthcare work, Dr. Marsh has a strong passion for music and technology. She is the founder of Background Noise LLC and ShhParty App LLC, two innovative companies designed to connect and monetize the music and entertainment industries.

Q. As a female entrepreneur in both the healthcare and technology sectors, what unique challenges and opportunities have you encountered, and how do you think women can be better supported in their entrepreneurial journeys?
A. In the tech industry, one of the most significant challenges I’ve faced is securing funding. Black women receive less than 1% of venture capital investment in the United States, which highlights the systemic barriers we face in scaling innovative ideas. Despite building a solution like Ask Me Your MD (AMY MD)—a telemedicine platform designed to provide immediate and affordable access to doctors via texting—I’ve had to work tirelessly to prove the value of our work to investors.
In healthcare, I’ve faced the challenge of not finding practitioners who look like me or are culturally competent and sensitive. This gap in care has driven my passion for AMY MD. The platform not only provides low-cost access to high-quality care but also ensures that our providers reduce biases that disproportionately impact marginalized communities.
As an entrepreneur, sustaining strength through wins and losses has been vital. It’s not easy to continuously push forward when funding, support, or market traction is slow. Finding customers who truly need and recognize the value of AMY MD has been another hurdle. Yet, I’ve discovered opportunities to connect with communities that are often overlooked, providing them with the care they deserve.
To better support women in entrepreneurship, especially women of color, we need greater access to capital, mentorship, and well-connected networks. Investing in women and ensuring their ideas are heard and funded is critical. Additionally, creating opportunities for women to connect with each other and share experiences can provide the encouragement we need to keep moving forward. When women are empowered and supported, we all benefit from the innovations and solutions they bring to the table.
