Hip-Hop icon and beatboxing pioneer Doug E. Fresh, in collaboration with the McCormick® brand, has released an original song and captivating music video to commemorate two remarkable milestones: the brand’s first bottle redesign in almost four decades and the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. A member of the Hip-Hop Hall of Fame and a BET Hip-Hop Awards Icon honoree, Doug E. Fresh delivers an innovative song featuring pulsating beats, the sizzle of the kitchen, the pop of the new SnapTight™ lid, and lyrics that tantalize the senses.
“I’m back in the kitchen, cooking up some hot new sounds to introduce McCormick’s new red caps, which are designed to keep flavor fresh, like me,” said the legendary Doug E. In addition to unveiling the new song, Doug E. Fresh will be leading an extraordinary cooking class for local New York consumers on the early evening of Thursday, September 14, 2023. Doug E. Fresh will be presenting his delectable version of Spiced Cod with Mashed Plantains, and will guide class participants through the recipe. The dish harmonizes mashed plantains with a hint of coconut milk to complement the cod fillets, which are coated with a fusion of garlic powder, thyme, crushed red pepper, and more. The result is a perfectly seared fish with a captivating, bold crust.
