LOS ANGELES — Amazon Freevee and Fremantle announced today that Chrishell Stause will join the iconic daily drama Neighbours as a guest star. Stause, known for her roles in Selling Sunset, All My Children, and Days of Our Lives, will begin filming in Australia in July.
Stause will portray Yasmine “Yas” Shields, a glamorous and successful businesswoman seeking a new opportunity. “I am honored and excited to join such a beloved and iconic show!” Stause said. “Coming from the world of soaps in the U.S., it’s back to my first love in the entertainment industry. They pitched me an idea for a character, and I was immediately excited to figure out a way to make it happen. Ramsay Street here I come!”
Neighbours recently earned two Daytime Emmy nominations, including for Outstanding Drama Series. This is the show's first U.S. nomination, having already received multiple nominations and wins in the U.K. and Australia.

Stause's acting career includes notable roles in U.S. daytime television on All My Children, The Young and the Restless, and Days of Our Lives. She received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Performance in a Drama Series in 2020. Her recent work includes the Netflix thriller Staged Killer and the Lifetime movies A Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story and You’re Not Supposed to Be Here, which was nominated for a GLAAD award in 2024.
She has been recognized with an MTV TV & Movie Award for Best Reality Star and a People’s Choice nomination for Favorite Reality Star for her role in Selling Sunset. In 2023, she was listed among Variety's 40 Most Powerful Women in Reality TV and Us Weekly’s Top 10 Reality Stars of the Year.
In February 2022, Stause released her memoir, Under Construction: Because Living My Best Life Took a Little Work. She is also known for her philanthropic efforts and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ rights. In 2022, she married Australian musician G Flip.
The long-running series Neighbours, centered on the residents of Ramsay Street in the fictional suburb of Erinsborough, Australia, resumed two years after its 2022 finale, which was watched by millions. New episodes air Monday through Thursday at 7 a.m. BST on Amazon Freevee in the U.K. and the U.S., and the series streams on Prime Video in Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Network 10 retains first-run rights in Australia.
Neighbours, produced by Fremantle, has been a launching pad for stars such as Margot Robbie, Kylie Minogue, Guy Pearce, and Russell Crowe. Executive Producer Jason Herbison and Producer Andrew Thompson will continue to lead the new chapter of the series.
